Make sure the transmitter is turned off, otherwise it doesn't charge.

i case anyone cares, i figured out what was wrong with my brand new servo, it was actually that inside the servo, the potentiometer wasn't solder'd to the board. it was really wierd, everyhting else was perfect, just the three leads weren't solder'd, so i fixed it all up and it works like a charm. It was really odd, i don't think i have even seen anything like that.

I finally moved up from my old hitex lynx 3d and got a helios tonight. I've been looking online for the data interface cable to hook it up to my computer (I've already downloaded the software), but I'm having trouble finding it. Can anybody recommend somewhere with a low price? Thank you.

Default Radio Not Sending Signal!?

Hi,

I have a KO Helios that is not sending signals to the reciver. I have tried another set of crystals... a new servo...another speedie...and have also changed the old reciver wire to a new one still not working. I tried a normal KO radio (EX-1) and it worked fine. I think the actuall radio (tx) has something wrong with it. What could be the problem with the signals?

Cheers, Davo

How do I get new pins installed?!

socal- You will need the ICS value set # 61001. This has the PC interface along with the Helios adapter. Speedtech usually has very good pricing.

Davo- You will have to contact the hobby store where you purchased it from to get repairs. Most likely, you will have to send it back to Japan for service.

I'm looking to get the KO Helios to replace my XS3. Has anybody made the switch from JR to KO? Also, what does the Helios have over the M8 or 3PK?

Thank you very much

Hi Chad,

I made that radio change in late May and haven't looked back. Besides needing to do it to upgrade to Spektrum, the ergonomics of the Helios with the optional angled drop down wheel is a major plus.

Cool cool. Bill, did you notice that the trigger didn't have as much backward (acceleration) travel as the JR did? I've driven with this radio and it feels balanced. That's why it would likely be the only one I'd go with over the JR.

Both JR and KO produce some great radios. Myself I would Get the JR Z-1.

It is a KO Helios with the JR crystalless system built in. so you get the best of both worlds. the Helios you can plug into your computer and mess with the program, and put your own ring tones on your radio.

Sorry Gearhead,

Crystal-less is no where near Spektrum. You still have to worry about other users doing you in.

Sorry...No use for backward here. On-road racer here.
