I noticed the Vantage comes with a KR301 rather than the 302...
If it is older technology, can we expect to see a newer KO stick radio?

thanks,

The Vantage type R has the same technology as the Mars type R, so yes it's a bit older than the helios.

I have a servo question:

I have a 2123 FET servo with the additional blue wire that I have traditionally plugged into my VFS 2000. Well, some bad luch and the VFS is no more, and I wanted to replace it with my GTX for the time being.

What do I do with that blue wire? No where to plug it into...I am pretty sure I need to do something with it...

Thanks...

Just connect that blue wire to the positive tab of the battery. But use the choke that comes with the servo. This is between servo and battery.

in the manual it says you shouldnt use the hi speed modes for non- digital servos unless its the ko fet 2173 versions. all standard servos should be used in the normal speed mode.

Hi All,

I had heard that the new module with RF502FH can only be used with the KR302 receiver??? Can someone advise on that. Can I use other brand of receiver, such as Hitec???
How about servos?
I am thinking of getting a Helio, but if what I mention above is true, I will get the new Sanwa M11.
Anyone got any advise/comments?

Yea once you use the 302f and the helios together you will not want to use any other reciever. The combination gives you the best possible results.

Also the Spektrum works quite well.
With the M11 it is still slower responce than the Helios. Plus you get one receiver when you Buy the Helios anyway.
Just from what I have noticed.

you might have some compatibility issues. pick up a 301F (older model receiver from the Mars R) which is compatible with the Helios. they are cheaper than then 302Fs.

Spektrum revisted

OKay-one more time around for this. Want to be very clear on this stuff before I drop all my receivers and crystals and buy the Spektrum system.

1. For the Helios w/ DSM, KO 949 digital servo and Novak GTX esc and 4-cell battey. Just need a capacitor on the RX-correct?

2. For the Helios w/ DSM, KO digital servo and Novak GTX esc and 6-cell battery. Nothing else required correct?

3. For the Helios w/ DSM, KO Digital servo and Corally mms3 (VFS-1) esc and 6-cell battery. Need to adjust the BEC to 3.5?

Thanks,
Ray
