So if you live abroad (anywhere else in the world) you should contact your local KO distributor for repairs and service.

A friend of mine who runs 1/12 scale had the same problem I had, car wouldn't turn on while a 4PK was on.
Is the problem with Futaba in that it swamps out your system ?

There are two options when you have this problem.

1. Ask those that are using the 4PK to switch to the French mode. This opens up the lower band of the 2.4GHz spectrum for other systems to bind. (I doubt that they will do this for you.)

2. Send it in for service if you have a problem.

I'm not here to bash anyones products or comment on them. I'm here to help those using our products ONLY.

STLNLST, I'd say that's a 'yes' to both of your questions.

Think about the poor bastard that spent alot of money to go to a race only to find that he had trouble qualifying or if he did quailify he couldn't run the main.

Interesting as to why they decided not to put this on their web site or this forum until now.

I figured as much. I'll just run my crystals or go back to the spektrum.

Stlnlst - remember it's a limited problem.
I've run the KO 2.4 for several months now with 4PKs and had no problem.
I was also watching a big race last weekend where there were a mix of KO 2.4and 4PK and saw no problems. At one point Josh Cyrl was on the drivers stand with three 4PKs and had no problem.
I could be wrong, but it seems like if you don't have a problem at the beginning you'll be fine; it's just certain modules. Maybe Ko Propo Staff could tell us more.

By the way, shouldn't we move this thread to the Radio section.

Thanks for the info. It seems like a hit or miss problem but none the less a problem. If we are being instructed to send it in for repairs then there's an issue being address that they know of. It's awesome that there's no charge though. Just curious to know what the problem is that's all. Robert is awesome when it comes to customer service. Maybe his hands are tied on what he can and can not reply to.

Like jon123 said, some may have the problem some don't. If you have a problem you should send it in and we'll take care of it.

If you really need to know, some IC's may be damaged or corrupted and some may need to be re-flashed.

If you have any questions whether you need to service you can always call us with your questions for the fastest service at (310) 532-9355.

Hi there.

I've been running a Helios with an original Spektrum system for the past few years, and I've loved using it. During this time, I sold the original FM module as I thought I'd never use it wth 2.4ghz.

The past couple of months saw me pick up a nice and cheap Vantage 3 Universe, and I've swapped my Spektrum module into this, and IMO my laptimes are better and I'm driving more consistantly - so I don't have plans to go back to the Helios.

I want to sell on the Helios (no use keeping an awesome radio to myself... ), so will the RF-402FR module from the Vantage 3 work fine in the Helios? I'm pretty sure it will but I don't have any FM gear around to try it out, and I don't want to sell something as working if it doesn't.

How do we know if our KO 2.4 is the version that has no problems with 4PK?

What serial number affected?
