Tamiya 1/10 TB02 Car kit, what else do I need tu run this?
 

Hi,

I am just new to RC cars, I bought a Tamiya 1/10 TB02 chassis.

It says it requires a 2 channel radio, servo, battery etc.

Can you help me find this items which is the best compatible to Tamiya?

I want a 2.4ghz radio 2 or 3 channel but I dont know what kind of brand is the best for Tamiya, and also the servo, i dont really know whats the purpose of that thing.

Please help!

FYI the model is Tamiya Calsonic Impul Z 1/10..
And I am planning to put a Venom V540 4.5T 8900KV motor with ESC 120Amp..its the one with a package from Venom..

I just need an idea about the radio and servo that is the best for this Kit..thanks!!

i like spektrum dx3r 2.4ghz radio and futaba s9551 low profile digtal servo. read tb-02 tread from this site before build tb-02 has some flaws on stock diff and gear strip and other problems.

not trying to say you did wrong but i would of got a Ready to run car. and then went form there. if you looking for power well the biggest motor is not all ways the way to go its the battery esc motor combo that does the trick now if you are getting the best out there. i know a lot of ppl around here in SC that i know are going wireless with the servo and radio.

o just to fill you in the servo is what makes your car go left or right.

i got a off road rtr envder and a lot of ppl on the off road forums give me Sh#$# about it. but you know what i put a 5.5 hobby wings motor and a 60amp esc on it what a over sized 7.8 lipo 10000mah 20c battey and with a 19t p and a 84t s i can get 45mhp on the road and the only thing i have changed in the car is the motor and esc and the diff b/c i over tightened the the gear case.

Yeah I thinks its better to get a rtr, but I just dont want it cuz im going to change the ESC and motor anyway, aslo tha radio and servo, i dont like the stock ones. So thanks for the info.

And for the radio you mentioned, is that comes with the servo?

Hi guys, are Acoms radio set reliable?

cuz im planning to buy the Acoms Technisport 2.4ghz radio with 2 servo and battery box for 100bucks in ebay.

Or else I'll buy the futaba 2channel 27mhz radio with 2 sx-x3003 servo.

What do you think?
