Just my opinion but I think that's a bit harsh when the Speed Passion GT 2.0 is actually bigger than the GTB and is just as popular if not more popular.

This is just my wish for the new novak esc and motor :

1. Brushless motor only esc
2. 1200 Amp MOSFET ( able to handle 2.5 T motor, 7.4V, for hot climate tropical countries )
3. Bigger and taller heatsinks, with 3cm X 3cm fan.
4. Extra soldering terminals / pads for : battery + capacitor + extra capacitor
5. Preferably rectangle shape, 5cm long x 3cm width
6. Simple programming interface with PC + USB connector.

Motor :

1. Bigger diameter and longer body as long as the motor is still considered legal by sanctioned body.
2. Bigger bearings for reliability.
3. A fan inside the motor for cooling ( no need extra heatsink ).
4. A hole for oiling the bearings.
5. Super strong magnetic rotor ( I think novak already use new technique on this matter ).
On Road : Xray NT1 , RX8 , T4 || Mugen Seiki MRX4-R , MTX4 , MTX3 prospec || Tamiya M03 , M04 || Top Racing Sabre FD2
Off Road : Xray XT8 || Hobao Hyper 8
Radio : Futaba 3PKS || KO propo EX-10 eurus

At this point, it would be very hard to top the SP GT2 PRO unless you come out with :
1) A special ultimate virtually zero resistance GTB ESC (able to handle a 1-turn sensored BL MOTOR at 7.4V in a race environment, for over five minutes...) with an indestructible fan system,, and computer programmable!!!
2) A new motor line-up, 4.0R/3.0R/2.5R/2.0R/1.5R/ , down to 1-turn BL to end the power search on their terms, once and for all !!! Also a thorough revision of their mostly used motors to extract the most power and torque possible out of them(21.5R DOWN TO 10.5R).
IF NOVAK CAN PULL THIS THROUGH GAME'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Then you'd only be able to run a few motors with the ESC... My LRP motor does NOT have a "blue" wire... There is no temperature sensor in it!
Which means, the new ESC would NOT run my motor!

E-Jato - Diff still unloads in corners, with 100k weight oil in it!

I don't think they are "very smart" waiting for everyone else to come out with their gear. BY the time they release soemthing, get the hype built-up, have public testing and rating, the likes of Tekin SP, and LRP will have all of the customers in their camp!
I don't know many racers that are hanging out for Novak to release a magic box. Most have meved on to other manufacturers as they consider Novak now becomming behind the times.
