Default Tire warmers

Are tire warmers necessary when running rubber on carpet tracks?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Not necessary, but helpful to get your tires up to temp right away rather then waiting 5 laps or so into your race to get them warm.

they just look cool, i have a set of the Muchmore IC controlled warmers.
Really for club racing, everyone lags getting up to the stand so by the time everyone is up there your tires are room temp again.

they help to "cook"the traction compound into the rubber. And get your inserts warmer-helps outdoors esp.if your mains go into the evening and temps drop-.I don't have them but have seen the benifits'just can't justify the 200=$$

I got CTX-W Muchmore tyre warmer. when I put those cups into my sorex tyres, it still have some gap left. the diameter of the cup is bigger than my sorex tyre. Is this okay? I saw some people using the tissue paper to cover the gap, or even alumunium foil.

Which way is better to cover the gap?

Unless it is a noticeable big gap i wouldn't worry as the heat will get into the tire any way because it is a cup!!

Show towels will work really well, they soak up extra compound and they're thicker then paper towel.
