Default Lipo for Xray T2'007?

I got a Xray T2'007 two weeks ago in a trade and so far I'm really liking it, but I'm looking for lipo packs to run in it. I've got one Core-RC 3250mah pack right now, but that's just the thing, I only have one. I want to get more packs to go along with that one. From what I've been reading there are very few packs that fit in the 007. This Core 3250 I've got actually fits no problem. The problem is of course that when I get my lipo packs they should all be the same weight so the car doesn't have to be rebalanced every time I change the pack. Plus they need to mount the same. I would just buy more Core 3250s, but they aren't made anymore. Anybody know a pack that is the same, or very close, or something that is better that I can replace the 3250 with? I'm only club racing with maybe one big race a year so absolute max performance isn't a massive concern.

I'll have a look for some used Core 3250s. That might be another good option. It looks like Integy makes a pack that is really similar to the Core RC pack.

Or these ones from Thunder Power: http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...33002SSRT.html
Anybody know if those packs have the bumps on the bottom?

Or I might just give up on lipo for this year and pick up some cheap EnerG 4600s from Pro-match.

look very similar (have feet on the bottom). The only thing you might have t do is put on deans plugs if that is what you are using.

There are a few brands that re brand the same lipo.

If you want to run better packs, say a SMC 5200mah 40c or Intellect 5000, you will have to get an off set tray as the battery wont sit under the top deck. There are a few ways to off set the battery. bitty designs does an off set tray, so does stormer hobbies (not sure what brand). These sit in the grooves for the old round cells and push the battery further out.

i wouldn't even bother with nimh cells, way to much maintenance and not quicker.

The front screw at the back of top plate will stop most packs. Grind the alloy mount and just use the rear screw. Then you just be restricted by height. The Orion 5000mah 20C packs fit with this mod. The thunderpower 5400, 25C and 5000, 40C packs should fit too. I will tell you when I get mine.

Well, I went with the uber cheap Yeah Racing 3200 packs. Hopefully they are decent. They are really cheap at least. We'll see how good they are when they arrive in a week or two.

What chassis are you running on the 007, the EU or US?

I run Checkpoint 5400's in my 007, w/ a EU chassis. The packs fit fine w/o any mods, but I did shim the upper deck .5mm and they slide under perfect. As for the grinding of the rear bulkhead, I just left mine stock and butt the pack against it, and added some weight under it. Car is prefectly balanced and runs very well.

I'm running an IP 5000 30C and it fits nearly perfect. The bottom of the case has "humps" to hold it in the NiMh slots, and it WILL fit under the top deck, but it is just a hair tight. I've been running mine like this, but I'm going to add .5 mm shims to the front upper deck so that the upper deck isn't tweaked. The IP 5000 has plenty of performance, too.

The only bad part is you can't really use a LiPo plate with the rounded humps on the bottom of the case, but lead weights still work

Just another option
