still months to go b4 the 415 releases, but i'm that amount of time spent waiting is going to be way less than the actual before Tamiya decides to release something new.
So in the meantime i guess it's left to Xray to hold the fort...
What about the Losi?

if youfeel like waiting--go for it!!!!!!
I was at the Tamiya Dealer, a while back and admiring the 414M WCR, heheheheehe!!! Looking at it, looks similar to the 415. But at PhP25,000.00 (thats divided by 56 to get the US$ figure), if I were in your position, I'd wait! But If I were blessed with Rich parents and a fat bank account!!!
Will buy both! hehehehehe Good luck with the waiting!

I'm a big Tamiya fan so naturally I think any Tamiya is worth waiting for ..BUT...If you want a car now there are many good deals on used 414m2 chassis.
If you choose to go with another manufacturer: the Xray is a fantastic car. Great quality and obviously competitive.
The Kawada Sigma is also very nice. Maybe more popular in Singapore than it is here in the U.S.
Also consider the Schumacher Mission 2. Built very tough and is very competitive.

You bet Peter !! Can't wait actually. All the hype about shaft drive has become a bit tiresome. I think I'll look forward to the dependability of belt drive. Got out the trusty TA04r and realised how much I liked it. Never enjoyed the 414 only because I hated fiddling with saddle pack batts. The 415 looks to offer everything I've been wanting. I understand it's due out in February or March. At least the wait won't be to long !!

also give some consideration to the RCLab , from what i've heard there seems to be no apparent weakness.
