C'mon Ian. Parma MG better looking than the Proto stuff??? That is the funniest thing I have heard in a while.

Parma's new Alfa looks promising and is pretty good looking.

As Adrian M stated above. The Protoform Alfa is excellent on carpet. I still find the Stratus 2.0 to be awesome body in stock as well.... For an overall planted feel and ease of drive the Mazda 6 is an excellent choice.......

RBLove: Better looking than the hideous Stratii twins by far. better looking than Dale's Alfa, or Mazda6 no way.

I personally find the Parma MG to be more attractive than the Parma Alfa. Something about the rear 3/4 angle view about Parma's Alfa turns me off.

The Parma X20 handles better than the old PF Stratus. It has more steering , but feels more planted. One proffesional driver tested it and said he could go 3-seconds faster than the original Stratus AND it was hard to unsettle the car by poor driving.

The new Parma Alpha has even more steering, dramatically more at exit, but cars easier to drive. Cars really planted-but its not slow in the corners-not at all. I expect this bodies going to be really good on pavement-even though it was tested primarily on carpet. IT has the stability splitters for the rear spoiler molded in if you want even more straightline stability. You dont need them on carpet.

I hope they make a 200mm Alpha for gas cars!!!

For what it's worth, I ran 3 bodies on Sunday:

Proto Stratus 2.0
Proto Alfa 2.0
Proto Mazda 6

I was able to turn slightly faster lap times with the Stratus, however the Mazda 6 was more consistent, meaning a faster overall time. The Alf 2.0 felt very awkward after the stability of the Stratus and escpecially the Mazda 6, and was likewise the slowest.

My vote goes to the Mazda 6 as the best all-around body. I have yet to try any of the Parma bodies or the HPI Aero2.

I'm in Ohio so my "local" shops carry them, but you can order them on Parma's site I believe.

Ian, you talking about the rear 3/4 view of anything turning you off or on is just a bad bad mental picture...

See, you put images in people's head that just aren't right. I generally prefer to see rear 3/4 views in "finer gentlemen's clubs" or to use the CRL terminology, "shake joints".

I aquired a Parma X20 from rayhuang and ran it in a test against my Proto Alpha. The X20 was consitantly about 2 to 3 tenths of a second faster a lap.

Thanks, Ray. next time no 5 minute paint jobs. Tired of blowing all the yellow paint off of my car.

Later,
