I tried to charge my batterys today and whenever i hooked everything up and tell it to charge it says reverse polarity or something like that and starts beeping. All my wires are hooked up right and i think it might be my dads car its a BMW. Would it matter if its foriegn.

+ and - are the same on all car batteries - electricity is the same around the world (around the universe in fact).

If it says reverse polarity - that's probably what you have done. Hooked it up backwards.
