I got two tekin rs's. You really can not go wrong with the support. AND I recently found out they send guys out to big races to help people with their products. I don't know if that is a normal thing for company's, but I found that simply amazing.

Yeah but, the amount of technical support needed is directly related to how many problems there are with the products.

Or the number of people using your product. Or, as often in the case of racing equipment, the amount of tunability.

I'm not sure either of those are bad things.

Another vote for the Tekin, no problems here.

Service in my country is an option.Waiting for the Lho to send back to the distributor that sends back again to the company your blown up esc for service, over here is pure science fiction:it could take ages.(someone ever been in Italy for a while?)
Besides the higher prices there's a little scarse idea about the concept of customer support.
Germany is next door and it took me six months to have back a coupple of GM V12 w.e.'s from service, once in my hands again the 1st esc blowed up after 2 packs. The 2nd GM V12 w.e. went straight to fleabay the same night.
I've an old tekin G10 Pro+ back from 1998 and it still do his job flawlessly with 2S 4900mAh trakpower Lipo's (with a separate cut off) and a Corally 10x2 black can on a Losi buggy.
It never have any issue at all in all different conditions i've used it (from 2wd buggies to sedans,pro10) it was always perfect as it is now. With a coupple of brushed motors is my last piece of brushed technology and i keep it as tresure.
Never had any need of suport & service also for 2 MiniRage esc's after been "proudly served" several Minis i've bashed all over, from dust to carpet, snow and mud during 3 years in wich i've smashed & destroyed the Mini's (and few motors) but not the esc's.
Set up and programming the esc is easy and very effective, everybody should try it to realize.
So far,i like and buy Tekin esc's because proved to be strong and reliable during the years, easy and fast to program "on the fly",and dont need to be serviced as much as other brands does.

Example of an happy Tekin customer without (any need of) service.

LRP SPX +1

I've had multiple LRP speed controls, brushed and brushless, never had a single problem. As far as stock goes, nothing can touch the top speed of the SPX, and the torque is excellent, the timing of the motor adjusts throughout the throttle curve! The models and setup are very simple, so you can focus on driving/setup instead of worrying about speed. At the Reedy Race this year at least 3 of 5 cars in 13.5 and RCGT were using it, and during the race many switched to it as soon as they saw the others speed. Just my 2 cents.

I'm sure the Tekin is great too, many using it, and having success! For mod most of the top companies are great, just depending on the desired tunability, (LRP TC/SSX and the KO are my faves!)

Dunno about the SP, but i'm a new Tekin fan-boy. Can't find a single thing to complain about, at all. AND, you can hassle Randy Pike on here if you want ot know something, and get an answer diectly from the company fast. Gotta love that.
Had a Castle Sidewinder for a while, but got rid of it as I couldn't get an answer on a technical issue I was having. Not knocking Castle, just a personal experience.
I won't comment on any other brands as I haven't used them, so i'm not is a position to say.

I'm with Tekin as well. Running two - VTA and RCGT (17.5)

The new "turbo" feature is going to be sweet and they say that software revision will be out soon.

Check out the Tekin RS thread here and you'll get a good sense of the customer service, software updates, and current capabilities.

I donīt understand why your arguments are just the support and reliability.
I thought Drifting101 asked for the quickest esc in 17.5?
So I think the GM Genius 90/120 and lrp spx stock spec are the way to go.
