Default xray 12 vs Associated 12R5

Xray 12 vs Associated 12R5, which one is better for lipo running at OCRC in Huntington beach CA.

Lots of RC Stuff

Is the R5 the link car version?
If yes i would say the R5 because you can fit a lipo better than i a t-bar car.
Otherwise you can use a lipo saddle in a t-bar car .
What lipo do you use?
1S 3.7V or 2S 7.4V?
