Ok, I take it back, I'm glad I didn't order a VM2 last time.

Looks like the first real big update for the VM2 is here, lipo version! Thinner chassis with no cutouts and a host of minor updates. Rear gear diff standard. Says it will be ready to ship in June. Going to order one!
Hope that they sell the Lipo chassis, so we can upgrade. Body painted, bat box installed, this car is great. Fun right out of the box.

They're fine for what they are. Honestly, the money can be used on other upgrades on the VM2 that will benefit the car more.

We ran 4WD Minis at the Mini Nats about 6 weeks ago (as we do every year) and for some reason this year has kick-started MASSIVE interest in them.
People are buying them all over the place.

With the 13T Hobbywing system in them these things absolutely fly!

i got one a few weeks back, it got a lot of interest at my local club, and because mini-z isn't popular in the UK, its currently running with the touring car class, and i am doing very well with it, although i do need a new spur gear for it soon, any ideas where i could get one?

Most any standard 48P or 64P spur gears work. I'm using a Kimbrough 76T, 64P spur gear for mines.

We run them in Maryland. There are a couple of us running the new vm2 lipo cars. We are still working out the kinks with it.

I see you are in NY. We run a 9/11 memorial race called "The Mini brawl for it all". This year it will be on Sat 9/8.

Talk to Manny the next time you see him. He retrofitted various Xray pieces to his VM-II LiPO car. Once I drive, break, and laugh (inside joke) I plan to do the same. In the meanwhile get familiar with a file, dremel, and plastic bag as they are going to come in handy in building/setting up your car.
