Setting the T4 for onroad
Before you direct me to the T4/B4 offroad thread. I've already been there. There was not a whole lot to go on, only bits and pieces. I need a good standerd setup for my T4 on medium traction asphalt.
Thanks, FoxxRocket |
Not a common request so not sure of what you will find but I'd just work on it starting with heavier shock oil and springs, stand the shocks up a little more and lower the ride height. When I ran mine onroad I liked the SpeedHawgs 2.2 tires for asphalt and you can get foams too.

I got road tires. Both foam and rubber. But thinkness should I go on the shock oil? 50-60W? And run Blue or gold springs all around? Also, how would I lower the ride height? It doesn't have droop screws.

When I ran my buggy on road, I used 50 wt all around and some bald red BK Bars with firm Bomb One's and some old ribs in the front. Blue springs all around, worked very well. Put limiters in the shocks to drop the ride hieght. I think I put 6 limiters in the front and 8 in the rear. So maybe add one more in each for the truck. lock the slipper down. That should be a good staring point.

Front shock
#3 piston 40wt oil Gold spring Rear shock #2 piston 40wt Silver spring If it rolls too much then go buggy blue spring up front and grey rear. The rest is Cavaliari clay setup. Worked awsome on carpet. HTH DK |
