Ball and cup VS. Eyelets

Ball and cup VS. Eyelets
I was curious why we dont see more eyelet style tie rod ends? It gets kind of tiring after a few times of tagging a wall or landing a jump bad to have to end a race simply because a tie rod cup came off. I know there are some aftermarket ball and cup setups that work great (cant complain about my RPM ones on my RC10GT), however it seems an eyelet setup would be so much more hassle free. Do the eyelets not have the same range of motion? I know they would be a pain to take off if location adjustments are needed. Do any companies make these for RCs?

On buggie and truck style OFF ROAD vehicles I always USED "Rocket City" brand eyelet style "Hyme Joint" ends.
THEY work GREAT and address exactly what you are talking about.
At some point, the BALL CUPS got better, and with the lighter PAN CARS I race now, rarely do I ever have a ball cup get popped off.
I think in part, this is due to less movement, and more front end protection on the tires.
IF I was running something w/ exposed tires, or more travel, I'd be using the Eyelets on the outsides anyway...if I had a problem with just ONE ball cup popping off.
