Default Tekin BC112C

Hello, I am about to buy a Tekin BC112C charger...I am getting a great deal on it! But I have a few questions about the charger!

1) I know that it has a built-in power supply, but would I be able to hook up another charger to it also to share it's power supply?

2) What discharging amps does it have?

3) Does it tell you (after your done charging) how many mah the pack has?

4) Will it handle the 3300s?

5) How do you feel about this charger?

6) Does anybody know where I can print the manual for it online?

Thanks,
Aaron

Before you buy this thing, do yourself a favor and look around to see if you can find a newer charger. Unless you can find someone who can scan or copy the manual for you, you won't get instructions. Repairs will probably be impossible for you to do (someone will have the email for the guy who used to do Tekin repairs). Upgrades will also likely be impossible. You can power the BC112A off the C, and possibly other chargers as well, but it has a 24v power supply, not 12v.

I would highly suggest you find something else that is newer. Tekin has been defunct for years now, and unless you are getting a GREAT deal (like, less than $30) for the 112C I would get a different peak charger. Just make sure it can handle Ni-MH batteries.

One of the best chargers in it's day! A very good backup and it can charge 3300 but watch heat build up it will sacrafice run time of your cell and possibly shorten there life span. Some were upgraded to handle new cells.

i have it,
it's an awesoem charger!
just bought mine for 85 canadian shipped.
It has the h30 software... (Nimh compatable)
But i don't use that profile anyways, too sensitive even for nimh.

IMO, all BC112C can charge nimh no problem...

Hi lazyeh

which version of your 112C? Pls use P0 mode with h30 and h31 version to get good result for GP3300. In fact, I have LRP Pulsar Competition and Tekin 112A ver#h31 for charging my GP3300 packs many times and I feel that 112A can get more punch than the LRP Pulsar with same condition.

I still have my BC112C also and it is an excellent charger (although, it does false some times). As someone else said, you can power a BC112A with it. I've had several BC112A's and BC112C's and they just work!

You can charge NiMh cells, but make sure that the installed software is "h28" or greater. As soon as you plug the charger in, it the display shows the software version.

I'm currently using 2 Pulsar Competition chargers and they are very nice also. However, I just can't let go of the Tekin (my first charger from the early '90).

I think this can be attributed to the higher supply voltage (24v?)... Tekin mentions this in their manual... you can Google for a softcopy of the manual, or got to balak-racing and download one...
