If I were you I would listen to Martin's advice... the guys knows his business...

2.5 T + lipo is plain stoopid, nobody can handle that, you'll melt everything, your drivetrain will tear apart...

3.5 also...

You sure seem to have lots of money to waste... in light bulbs

Martin could be correct, but he forgot to state those numbers are only obtained with the burts we see on hard start ups. Here are a few graphs that I got from drag racing using 2 25C 5000mAh lipos in parallel, my own ESC and a Novak 4.5R. With a 2.5, 3 or 3.5 motor, those number would've been much higher.

Here are the direct links for better pictures:

I already corrected my statement..... I should have type 3.0 not 2.5 because LRP don't make 2.5T motor. ( I mixed up with Team Orion ).

Why 3.5 is also not good ??? ..... I'm using Novak 3.5R since last year without thermal. I plan to change to X12 3T motor coz I feel my car is getting slower compare to other cars equipped with newer motors.

It's not funny about the light bulbs...... surely you are getting offensive. And what do you mean martin hofer knows about his business ?? I tell you : He is (or was) GM ESC all time fans. And what do you know about ko propo and novak esc, huh? Do you ( and martin ) use ko propo or novak as racing gear equipments ? Do you race with lipo and low turn brushless modified ? If not, then shut up...... coz your answer will be rather guessing, not from real personal experience.

As I said, if it broke..... who cares ??? It's my money u know.
