Default 5C charge rate lipos...

I was directed to this article about a new lipo dubbed 3G which is apparently a different type of lipo cell and is apparently much better...
HYPERION G3 VX 7.4V 2S 5500 MAH 35C/65C LIPOLY PACK

those packs can be charged safely up to 5C (though i dont know of a charger that will do 27.5amp lipo charge rate)...

any one know about these?

Don't know anything about those claims, but at ROAR events you can only charge at 1C, so it is a moot point for big events.

Default Hyperion G3

I have a few of these packs and it is correct, they can be charged at 5C. I have a Hyperion 720I and can charge my Hyperion 5000mah Swift pack in 12 minutes. I charge them at 20 amps. The Hyperion Swift (hard case) 2 cell packs are the same cells. They were originally released as a 2C charge rate, but have since been revised to 5C. Depending on what you are using them in, I would look at the 30c 5000mah hard case "Swift" packs. I can get you brand new packs, once you decide, send me the best price you can find and I will beat it.

LMK,
David

im not worried about events. this is still a hobby for me, not a life style haha...

I was just looking to speed up the charge time, its takes almost 3 hours to charge my 3800 pack after using it for 20mins...

I was gonna get a charger that can do 8amp lipo charge rate, and one of those 4400 or 5200 packs, and figure i could charge it at like 2C or so...

How do I charge at a 2C, 5c charge rate? Do I just increase the charge capacity by the correct multiplier?

sonething wrong with your charger there, it should take a bit more than an hour to charge your pack from empty.

What charger are you using that takes 3 hours to charge a 3800?

at 3.8 amps (1C) it shouldn't take longer than 30-50 minutes?
