Stormperson,

The kingpins for the 12th dynamic front end are the same length as the old school front end. No need to cut down hingepins or anything.

Ian,

Things are good here. Keeping busy with work. LMAO about the no 12th scales at the Novak! How soon before Colin has a car?

I normally cut down my kingpins anyway since you dont need the extra lengh (since the car never has more than a few mills of travel) and that way there is even less of a change of the kingpin hitting the wheel. But yes, you could use the other kingpins, i just guess I like making more work for myself, lol.

He drove his Legends car about a week before Cleveland on Ultra's oval for the first time. He slapped a few walls then told me he would like to practice more with slot cars before he tries again. Then he handed me the radio and sat and watched me finish out the pack. I think a Mini T is in his very near future. The Mini T radio is closer to his "scale" so it'll probably be easier for him to manage. If his slot car throttle control is any indication, he'll be pretty quick, plenty early. He certainly makes his father proud.

I'll go $20 that he's lappin' me and beatin' YOU by 6. He will have an awesome Rev.3 and an superb X-Ray. I envision Colin and Dominic Blackstock battling it out in the Stock TC A-main at USTC races in about 5 or 6 years. I may just become the wrench/team manager like the Dean and Jake Delano scenario.

Dont forget 22 month old Audrey-who at Champs was in the grandstands (radio off-people!!!) holding my radio in left hand, and right hand on wheel saying excitedly "turn-turn-turn-turn" as she turned the steering wheel left and right staring at cars on the track.

And shes already very mechanically inclined. Havent devised a cap, top, door, box, and some locks she cant overcome. At like 16 months she helped me build her table and she knows clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen!!! hahaha!!
Many adults havent gotten that concept yet!!!

I'm in trouble!!!!

I thnk shes got a Speedmerchant in her future too!!

Ahhh Greg, You know I'll never give up the radio. This stuff's a vicious addiction !! I haven't raced since the Champs, and I'm all antsy and irritable!!! ............. Maybe that's just work?

And Ray's right, Audrey has that fire in her eyes when she looks out over the racetrack!!!
