HPI Sprint 2 Flux BL

What do you guys think of this car?

depends on what you plan to do with it. If your going to bash, you'll have fun with it. If you are going to race, you'll end up replacing the whole car.

Why is that? Just curious....

Maybe it was a biased over statement, but since it sounds like you plan to race it so....

Make sure the motor is legal for where ever you plan to race it. If I remember right, the flux is a re badged sidewinder 5700.

It is a sprint 2. It is a nice durable car, but I would consider it far from a racer. The sprint 2 design is old and there are much better cars out there. Once you really get into racing, I think you will find yourself behind because of your car. At that point you will start upgrading the car or buying a new one. Just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong though. TC racing is all driver. I have a friend who has a sprint 2 and drives it really well.

traded mine in after i got into racing. The sprint 2 has way to much play in the steering and with the tires bolted on the car it also had some movement in and out, maybe some washers would cure that but nothing will fix the amount of slop in the steering and also for bashing the rear belts will get chewed up,but i also fixed that by dremmeling away parts that were millimeters away from the rear belt so pebbles could pass thru.

I pick up a Sprint 2 Flux in Oct. I fully upgraded the chassis and now I'm using it now for the T/A class. long story short I have problem at all. The wheelbase is super it hugs the corners with no issue. Now about the steering issue, I can't help you out with that becasue I swap the servo to a HI-tech 6525.
