Default Orion Revolution v2 motors???

Okay guys,

I am sold on these mod motors after talking to Crsip and Spashett and Grey at the Champs. But heres the problem-where can you buy one?? I need some and fast!!! ANybody know where you can buy these in the US? I need a 10 and 9 dbl. and some brushes.

Guys, I ran one at the Champs, same brushes all week!!! try Stormer Hobbies.... They've had them for about 2 or 3 weeks now... If they can keep them in stock that is...

I ordered a 9 single V2 just now-thanks!! I also got two pair endurance brushes and med and med-hard springs.

Can you tell me how your motor came stock? I mean what springs and what brushes?

I was thnking of gearing it at 19.5mm rollout and about 15* timing with med springs and endurance brushes on the GAtes new 96' x 50' layout.
What do you say?

it came with enduro's and med springs... I had a 8x2 and with 18 degrees of timing and about a tooth highter then what yoru talking about and in practice at the champs ran 6 and 1/2 minutes with 45 seconds left on the battery!!! I have like 7 runs on the brushes and still have some suration left!!! Oscar (from Orion) assured me I could get a full weekend out of sprints...

Does anyone know the difference between the different versions? (Hara, Steenari, touring...etc)

The blue endbell (Modified) uses a 5mm web. I think the others use a smaller web.

Do you clean or maintain your motors after each run?

I have a 9x2 revolution and after 3 runs it was quite flat already, also the serations on the brushes were all gone... i geared it the same way i do my core 9x2. 128/28 on a losi XXX's G+.

Highway~ All I did was take the motor out, and brush it off and inspect th com thru the endbell... it looked good, so I relubed the bearings and put it back in.... after the practices I took it apart just to look at it and make sure everythubng was on and skimmed, I'm talking skimmed!!! like 0.001 off the com!!!! nd cleaned everything and put it back together... I was up like 2 or 3 teeth from what I was running with a core 8x2 in my tc3..

whats you final drive? i kinda noticed that my brushes were quite worn, but with regards the com, yes, i just skimmed it.

i have been hearing nothing but good things from revoltuion motor owners... i may just need to do some tweaking to mine.

... for my old core motors, i use a com stick to clean the comm after each run, and even without serations, the motors still run very fast. should i do this with the revolution?

You should get the sprint brushes, as they are the much better brush for racing applications. The motor itself comes with two sets(one installed) of the enduro brush, which have good wear, but less power than the sprint.
