Default Losi eight and xcelorin

Hello,

I am French and nobody not to answer little has my question about the French forums.

I have Losi eight converted into BL with an engine Xcelorin 2100kv

Does my engine heat has 83°C after a 15 minutes run with a room temperature of 25°C ..... are that it is normal or are this that it is too high?

The ESC which I use is that of the MMM V3 + 14/45T

I hope that you will be able to help me.

83c is hotter than I would run, I am more comfortable with 70-74c maximum. I know people who do run that hot, but I don't see the need.

thank you very much.

Which solution to decrease the temperature?

Does Y have to you it an adjustment on castle link adapted to Xcelorin?

Punch control and timing...etc…

I'm not familiar with castle link, but reducing timing will reduce temperature for just about any motor.

I look for lap times when adjusting the settings and gearing to find the best combination. Whatever gives me the best lap times over the duration of a race is the best setting. I only look at temperature to make sure I don't harm the motor. Sometimes I get the best results at a lower temperature than I'd expect, sometimes higher. It depends on the track and layout.

I only use the 74C number as a maximum safe temperature (that is my opinion, I know some people who do run slightly higher temps)
