Hardriven,
I've been in touch with Carl at Lapsfree and liked what I heard. Our club is just getting up and running and since almost every dime for the drivers stand, timing system , additional track material , and website have come from my pocket, I too am looking hard at LapsFree. I asked the question earlier seeking people who have experience with it to give their opinions. Could you elaborate on your likes and dislikes of the software ?? I would greatly appreciate it.

I'll give you a PM in answer to your question. I won't post anything but general remarks about the program in open forums like this one unless i get permission from Carl at Laps Free.

Regards

We dont call it J-crap for nothing.

My club has used auto score for a while and its pretty sure fire. We tried laps free and thats a cool program but we couldnt stand the guys voice. It is neat how it will run a whole day of racing by itself thow.

You can change the .wav files to anything you like as long as you don't change the name. We had some fun with that.

Sorry to revive a nine year old thread, but I was wondering, this many years later, what people think?

I had used nothing but Autoscore for so many years (both the DOS Pro 20 car and Windows Pro 20 car versions) that I knew all the bugs, and most of the tips and tricks I needed to know to run any kind of race I wanted to run -

I do wish I had gotten to use the 20 car RCScoring Pro version - it's got great features

(I H A T E D too much about J-Lap the times I experienced using it)

Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)
