I never really checked out all of the programs available. Now that I went and checked them out, there is only one. RC Scoring Pro, way to go. Beautiful program with up to date features at a great price. As its 2004 its nice to see software for RC finally reflecting modern technology. Now all I have to do it figure out how to get my local track to get it.

Yep, I like Scoring Pro also but I'm still curious.....this software doesn't look bad for a FREE download. Obviously not as sophisticated as Scoring Pro but for a club on a budget ....free can't be beat. Does anybody see any huge operating differences??

Rc timming i think will take over befor long it already has alot of featurs that some of the 500 plus programs have and the programmers are not stuck up if you would like to see somthing change let them know and thay will look at it. it hase the ability to run a a big to small club. and best of all it's 100% free and in constant development. our club loves it

We use JLap. True the HTML spits out alot of extra/unneccessary code and true we encounter bugs from time to time. But for the most part, we are pretty satisfied with it!

I believe the 2004 Version had been released, anyone used it yet???

Dougs program is the Best program on the market to date. When I wanted to look at lap times, I always went to dougs software. RC Scoring Pro is the next big thing for scoring programs.

I am wondering the same thing about this software. Also does anyone know if or how to get the software to show the pace of the racers? Thanks

So far I am really not impressed with it, so much so, i would go to the extent of saying that I down right hate that software.

The guys at Snowbirds loved my practice software. If you know anybody who went to Snowbirds, ask them how they liked RC Scoring Pro.
Do you have a Demo availible (with maybe printing disabled) so one could compare features with their current software?

Also some screen shots would be nice on your site.

Thanks,

Default Demo version

I think I will make a demo version in the next week or so. And I know my website is hurting, I am no good at website design.

I will try to have a demo version by Friday if possible!

We had a small race today at wich we used Jlaps. It ran flawless, so why pay hard earned cash if you can get a nearly perfect program for free?

JLap is about $700 + $175 a year for support, not sure how you got your copy for free. My software isn't for everybody, some are happy with what they have, or they don't need all of the advanced features. I am designing my software for the serious race director. JLAP is a cool program. There is only 1 track within 2 hours of me that has it, so I really haven't seen it in use much. I am just offering a alternative if a track is interested in stepping up to the next level.

I was at the largest RC car in the US last week, and I had hundreds (900+) of people see my software. Everybody said they had never seen anything like it. If you get a chance, ask Team Losi's Paul LeMieux, Mike Blackstock, Matt Francis or any of the top pros what they thought of it. I printed practice lap times for everybody who had personal transponders, so if you know anybody who was at Snowbirds, ask them if they liked my software.

I'm sorry, I ment Laps Free. My bad.

Now i didn't mean to rub you the wrong way
I'm sure your software is great, but when you have a smaller club, like we do (54 members) you are happy with what you get. Laps Free was offered to us for free and I decided to use it. Comming from the old style AMB software, i can tell you this is a HUGE step forward. Now i can race at my own track instead of having to sit by the computer all day. Sure there are a few details that could improve, but hey, again, i got it for free. This ment that we can now spend the 700 or 800$, that were destined for software, on track improvements and a car/transmitter/esc/bats for guest drivers and people who want to try RC.

We need to keep our hobby accesible to everyone.

Regards

So do you have the AMB20 transponders ? I still have to add support for that in the next few months. I have had a lot more requests for that than I thought I would. I guess because the trade in $ for a AMB20 is about 20% of a new AMBrc system. Maybe I will have a version that supports up to 25 racers for smaller clubs. Great idea you have there!
