With all the rain this weekend, I was able to get plenty of time to paint! So, I was able to complete the 2010 CAMARO body and do it up like I wanted. Two light coats of Faskolor Key Lime, two light coats of Neon Green, then white, then black. Turned out great! Looks just like the one down at the dealership! I stopped by on Sunday to compare the paint. Looks like I need to add a little more green to it next time to get a perfect match.

Yes, it absolutely does! And, it comes with lighting shells too so that you can do LED's if you want. And, it comes with the RTR drift car decals as well. Those silver, gold and black ones. Huge sheet. I didn't use them, but they are pretty extensive. Might be able to use bits and pieces of them in the future on other projects.

indy, how did u mount the rear bumper on. i am thinking of getting this body and waswoundering how to do it. by the way the body looks great.

They show using some double-sided tape. Man, I didn't even what to begin to go with that method!

I painted everything separately, then roughed up only the surface of the rear piece that would be hidden after it was joined together. I used shoo-goo (Actually I used a different brand from Auto-Zone) and then held the pieces together with masking tape until it set.

You want to use enough glue, but not too much or it will ooze out. You can always go back and add more from the inside later.

I've run several VTA bodies built this way and they hold up pretty well from rear end collisions. I had to re-glue one that was coming part (I guess I'm driving too slow! ) from getting hit in the back too many times. But, that was no big deal.

Default Something old - Something new...

Here's a couple shots of my RCGT ride. body was to be masked and painted for the HPI Challenges about 4 years ago. Got masked, but not painted. My painter went into hiatus and the body sat in my basement. Decided to run something different in RCGT, so I blew the dust off of this bad boy and shot it with Pactra cans. I used the HPI Lexus ISF before this body (HPI Lambo Galardo). I like this one better. looks sleek and fast!

Side note: I lost the original wing thru the years and had to fabricate this one out of HPi and hotbodies parts. Took a little "know-how", but I worked it out. And yes, the wing works very well.

Here in Cali, at least in Orange County/San Diego area, we adapted the name change from RCGT to GT10 to simplify the GT classes. WE now have GT12(mini 2wd and 4wd), GT10(formerly RCGT) and GT8(Buggy based 8th scale onroad chassis). Still the same rules but much more simplified.
-EP 190/200mm chassis
-17.5 NON Boosted esc
-Realistic GT style Body
-Spoked wheels
-OPEN TIRES and INSERTS

We have found that the Xpattern Pro non belteds are still the tire of choice for the fast guys, but having the option to try other tires makes it much easier. We get about 2-3 heats of GT10 on a good day and about 7 cars on a slow day.



Our line up for our GT10 Enduro.
