Mike, that is a cool video of an awesome night at Cal Raceway.
Too bad for me I was the other yellow car, down in second watchin you pull away!

Any chance you have the videos of the earlier races where we were locking horns for about 6 of the 8 minutes? (yeh, I had the 6 minute tire sauce that nite )

I remember it well, we were dicin back and forth and Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold" was blastin!

Heat before that Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" was rockin then into "Mississippi Queen".

Haha- yeah it was a great night of racing, especially the epic battle we had in rnd 2 that I unfortunately forgot to record

Got my Formula Ten a couple days ago and am really enjoying it. It's my first onroad car and I am loving the new challenge after running only my xxx4 for the last four years. I put my novak GTB in it with a little notch cut out of the chassis to fit it in. The steering linkage is not so great so that, S compound tires, and bearings are my first upgrade priorities. I have been running it with my Orion 3200mAH 7.4V lipos, they fit perfect, and my Velocity 6.5R motor which is a bit overkill but its all I have and by lowering my throttle exponential way down its actually manageable. They body is a bit weak/thin in areas and I ended up butchering it a bit but nothing major. A few things I don't like about it are the screws (Hex should be industry standard), The front arm shims are to easy to crush with the pivot balls, and limited space for electronics. Overall a great kit that I am looking forward to pimping out.

MikeR - I like the mod you did to the front end using Speedmerchant damper tubes. Are these the tubes you used ?

http://www.teamspeedmerchant.com/sho...l/smr1422.html

I believe you would also need 2-56 grub screws for the tubes as well as 2-56 ball ends ? Could you confirm ? Do you have any close ups of this mod ? Thanks !

Yes, that's the part. I think it comes with the grub screw and ball cups- I think I actually used RC18T ball cups and this ball end (4);

Here's a pic;

This assembly helps to keep the front knuckles from locking up if you tag a wall by the way.

I'm thinking of getting one of these for the Indoor Champs in Nov. I was wondering what part suppliers are the best to find hop ups and likely to have them in stock.

You can get them to fit , but it's very tight... The fronts aren't too bad, but the rears concave in significantly ...If you want to run F10 rubber on a Tamiya chassis, you need to get RIDE 104 wheels... You can get them through RC Mart... These wheels will fit the F104 but will not fit the HPI F10... not sure what your trying to achieve

Its just that Tamiya's soft compound rear tyres are not that sticky and wears fast. Thats why I want to use F10 rear tyres. Its ok if its tight fit, better. How bout the diameter of the tyres? Is it the same as the F104's?
