By the way, I forgot to post here that for the first time an HPI won the day at Socal UF1 series last week. The HPI was a beast on carpet

Default suspension binding

Hey guys, got a question:

The kingpin e-clip is catching and getting stuck on occasion inside the the lower ball cup on the suspension. What can I do to fix this? is there a smaller e-clip (I can't really imagine) I could use?

thanks

I use the futaba s9550.
fits perfect and is fast and strong enough.

Btw.

can i use the 3Racing f-109 foam tyres with the hpi ball diff set for foam wheels?
will the tyres fit?
I thought i can fit the tyres with the original hubs but the diameter of the 3racing foams are wider than the hpi rubber wheels.

Hey 3rd-dan,

3racing wheels will fit with the foam set. they are the same as Tamiya wheels.

But you will also need the front foam set to fit 3racing front wheels...

Both sets could get quite expensive....

Kind regards

I saw the price of the front and rear foam tyre set.
It is really expensive.

I think i will stay with my S-Tires.

They work pretty well.

Hi guys,

I have a F1 open race here in my country, will my first time racing F1 (July 18th).

I will build a F10 kit and maybe try it on this weekend.

Race rules are :

- ESC : Free usage, but no advance timing permited.
- MOTOR : 27T or Brushless 17.5
- Batts : Up to 6 cells on NiMH, or 7.4v hard case Lipo (max 3.800mah).
- Pinion and Spur : Free
- Tyres : Foam and/or Rubber permitted (but only F1 commercial ones permited).

Track its big straight (about 56 meters) and very technical inside.

I need advice on setup, pinion/spur, tips, etc ...

Will be very appreciated, thanks a lot guys !!!

Im planing on going stock F10 just setup and hand mods lol !!!, and dont know about tyres.

This is outdoor asphalt.

thanks !

If you're planning to race it and a local track supports it, yes.

If you're not racing and just bashing or practicing in the street, no. Get a used touring car. Pan cars like this are finicky and don't handle even slightly rough pavement well.

Gotta agree on the cool-looking part, though. I love open wheel.

If the track is swept and has traction compound on it, and everyone else is using foams, go with foams.

If you're running rubber, get the S-Grips.
