Now THAT'S a nice looking car. The problem with their first car---all plastic--was cheap to buy---but double the cost for all the hop ups to make it start working!!! This baby looks RTR with the right parts to begin with!!! NICE!!
What's the MSRP??

MikeR, that's beautiful; now what can we do to put pressure on HPI to let us here in the USA have those beautiful 2009 style F1 bodies that were shown at the Nuremburg Toy Fair? I'm talking about the pre-painted Renault R39 and the Williams FW31. We keep hearing that HPI thinks they will not be popular here in the States, yet they are now releasing this beautiful carbon fiber chassis kit for the F Ten! If they think that rc F1 is not popular here, then why are they spending the money to update the car with expensive carbon fiber, yet they won't give us the newer bodies too?!! Makes no sense at all!!!

Please help us out with this!!

OK, my bad; I did'nt look close enough when I saw that pic of new chassis to notice that you and it are from Exotek. Sorry about that MikeR.

I just got so excited when I saw it. Should have known that HPI would'nt do something as nice as this!

Thanks All! Glad you like.

To the questions-

No MSRP yet. Will know in a few days. I suspect about $70 though.
I'll be updating the website with more photos, details and pricing this week.

Team Lotus- No worries
Having some experience with licensing I know that HPI must pay for licensing for each continent so I'm sure the cost of licensing an F1 product for the US market would not make sense ( it's very likely they must pay a cross license fee both to F1 AND the automaker AND team and all probably a minimum guaranteed fee). I'm sure the F10 might be one of HPI's poorest selling kit in the US I would think also.
It's not like we as customers will not have access to these bodies- the major Asian shops no doubt will have them in stock if they are ever produced.

But why would you want one of these bodies when you will be able to use one of the awesome scale NARROW Tamiya F104 lexan bodies on the Exotek chassis

MikeR, I understand your point; but have you seen the bodies I'm talking about? They are beautiful and they are expertly painted and decals to look like the real cars! Not even Tamiya offers F1 bodies that are expertly painted and decaled.

Remember, I'm not talking about the F Ten bodies currently offered by HPI but the ones from the 2010 Nurmberg show; the 2009 Renault R39 and the 2009 Williams FW31. Remember these are the narrow bodies like the current real F1 cars.

Don't get me wrong, Tamiya bodies are still my favorite, but they only have the Ferrari F60 currently and who knows if they will ever have others like the current McLaren, Red Bull, Mercedes, etc.

Default The Exotek chassis looks awesome!

Does it use a different battery configuration to use the f104 narrow bodies? Also, it looks to me the Tamiya front and rear wings fit on the HPI F1, is this right?

So this is a conversion chassis from Exotek and you have all the HPI Hop Ups Included as well? Is this car superior to what else is available??

Thx
