Has anyone run the stock kit tires on carpet? Are they raceable?

NO !

When you turn in to the corner the car understeers, and at the exit it oversteers.

I would recomend you the Type S compound tires. with 17,5 BL and 4 cell the car is on rails. the M-compund is always slower....

You can also try nitro foam tires. 26mm front and 30mm rear. With those the cornerspeed will increase also very strong.

greets Blueman

horrible , you can run all the traction compound you want but the stocks are only good for hot pavement

they are unusable on carpet....decent asphalt tire....but junk on carpet even with a silver can motor and 4 cells.
waiting for the S tires to be available thru our LHS to get the class going . for now we're running the tamiya cars only.

I know they are available online, but the racers here are trying to support our local store so we continue to have a place to race, i wish i knew if it was HPI or the distributors who are to blame, but so far, the store owners 3 distributors do not show them as even available part numbers , let alone in stock.

Tamiya F201 tires and wheels would also fit the car (it had tc hexes too). Type A's would be good for carpet.

These guys have the rims and tires:
