Hey where is that where you live in Al? We race the F1's in Marrietta. GA at Nexus Raceway and just started a 6 race series.

We have one guy already coming over to race that lives in Huntsville.

I am basically in Birmingham, so give or take a bit a two and a half hour drive I suppose. That is not too bad, I might try to make some. How do you guys race them... 6 cell, 4 cell, silver can, brushless, etc.

(Edit: Nevermind, found the thread in the Georgia forum with the rules).

Yeah we were gonna just run once a month for the series, but there is some interrest in racing at every race they have.

But the series will still be the 4th weekend every month

I just wish some on road racing would get started up again in B'Ham at all, much less F-1. I have heard some grumblings about some guys that have a timing system trying to start it up again but nothing definite. Hopefully if it happens there will be some interest in F-1 as I am dreading a big drive just to go race but once a month isn't too bad.

What works the best tire-wise at Nexus? Are traction additives allowed and all that? Let me know if there is a discussion about this elsewhere (haven't had a chance to read the whole other thread about the races to see if it is in there) and I will go read it.

As far as tire additives we are using paragon. tires were are running the med fronts and soft rears from HBR(FOAMS) on the F1's. Im not sure about the new HPI F1. But if you can mount foams you will hook up great.

Nothing to serious with this class at the moment.

Everything will stay cheap fun with the silver cans and 2s lipos. But we do go as faster and sometimes faster than the 12th scales on 13.5.

That one thread on the GA forums is the only place i know for our club to talk about the F1's but i do talk on all the ones here in the electric forums to find info

Thank you... I have a 9650 in mine. It fit great. I just used the extra servo mount that came in the kit.

Here are some pics of my Formula 10!

I also have done my first shakedown with it, and i am very pleased.
Easy to drive, a lot of fun.

But i have to say that i havent tried the kit tires, i races the S compound tuning tires from HPI.
