I believe the pro body mimics the mid 2000's (2005-2008 ish) look depending on how its cut out. Basically pre 2009. I plan on using my new upainted one for a special 2005 Monaco scheme....

That would be GREAT robk ..... I've looked at some of your Blog articles/ vids. Very interesting and informative stuff on the F104.
I'm building the car right now although I've decided to build the car as per book, then make improvements once I've driven the car a little. Then I can see what the improvements do for it.

Will probably take a little time getting used to two wheel drive too

you can purchase any spurs you like, i have been using the kwada ones.
the one 104 tooth one that came with the kit seems to have a high spot in it.

you can buy any sizes you like but i wouldn't think you need to go much bigger than a 106 i have just bought a few of the 104 and 106 they have no high spots in them and don't cause a meshing issue

Yes they can! I just finished my new F60 lightweight body for my 104Pro. I have no idea why I waited so long to get this body, it's (IMO) the finest looking body in the 104 lineup.

if you use anyone's spurs OTHER then tamiya's, you'll need the adapter (99% certain)

- Does the front wing make much difference?
- How is the diffuser attached? (the photos aren't very clear)

Hi Guys,

Just bought the F104 black edition. Wondering what type of T-plate comes with the kit and what Tamiya option T-plate I should get for rubber tire carpet racing?

Or does anyone have a summary of F104 tamiya t-plates and ranking from hardest to softest?

yip,thats the one. the three racing one is called a pom ring i think. file the ring down a little.

the diffuser screws to the base of the wing.not sure if it will work with the existing kit diffuser.i didnt use it when i had a 3racing wing. the front wing is a little wider than the kit wing which gives the front wheel a little more protection in that nose-tail racing
