It's far, far simpler and more forgiving, when it comes to setup. I rarely have to change much on my SC10 beyond suspension settings and tires. It takes a long time to get an on-road car working right and then you really have to hold its hand to keep it set up right. I want to read more feedback about the Exotek conversion for this car, I really like the one I got for my TA05 V2.
As a long time hard core off-roader a decade ago I totally understand what you are saying. I have found though that on-road provides adrenaline that off road cannot provide for me due to the difference in speed

Is it possible, or completely unadvisable to run micro servos in the F104's?

Not possible as mounting only accomodates for standard size.

Unless you ganged two up....one per wheel Don't think they would last too long though!

If you're looking to make the car lighter, I wouldn't go anything smaller than a 12th scale servo.

im not sure if any of you are running form, but i just got some spice foams. from what little i heard about them, they say they are good. one thing i noticed is the front tire with is 4mm narrower than the stock front foams. i guess this will take some of the steering out, not sure why they did this. hopefuly i will get a chance to test them this saturday if it dont rain.

Default I guess no F1 racing at WCRC, but maybe new venue?

Ok, I tried the flowing to get F1 back at WCRC:

1. Got in touch via e-mail and phone with Ron Schuur (on road director), had long conversations (won't bother you guys with the details) went' to meet him twice at the track, first time he was for it. The second time he just avoided me (not even a hello ).

2. Spoke directly with Danny (owner?) went to WCRC two or tree weeks ago, when they were remodeling, he said he wold call me to start again the series, I posted some of you guys favorable comments towards these end, suggested a format, PM him the format. To this day no reply.

What he did was that odd post in here inviting us to come practice with him and talk about it? Maybe some sort of you guys come and beg for it? Maybe not? Who knows except him?

I saw him again Wednesday at WCRC, just as Ron, I was not even acknowledge with a simple "hi". I guess these guys are just to busy ( at least for me )

Maybe someone else will have better results (perhaps it's my ugly Mexican-Scottish accent that they don't understand )

And that's my WCRC failed effort report for the F1 gang.
Sorry guys-it’s disappointing.

Is there anyone amongst us that will be interested in participating on a small venture to open a track in the SFV (a real F1 home with an off road track to make some $) I may have the perfect location, in the middle of a beautifully park, already paved, close to the 101 and 405 ... PM me if this would be of interest to you.

Cheers,
Marcos

12th scale servos work just fine. If using a 12th size servo like I am I would suggest removing a band or 2 from the hi-torque servo saver.

Has anyone used mini lipo's? Wondering how much the car changes with a lot less weight compared to a full size pack. My 5000 mAh packs don't fit.

Do u have to cut the ears off the servo to fit? Cutting off of a 100 buck servo doesn't seem that smart
