Default UF1 Series

8 days till the TQ UF1 race...
And then June 20th were back at WCRC for a UF1 race...
That's a total of 92 points maximum I believe this month alone... so no matter where you are in the series standings, you can make up a lot of ground this month... and also don't forget that the lowest 2 UF1 races will be dropped and 3 lowest Supplemental races will be dropped before the final race late September in Camarillo, which will be an ALL F1 day...

Default Lipo Battery

Looking for a suggestion on a good Lipo for the F104 while keeping the weight down. Our A main is 15minutes using a silver can motor.

I use less than 1000 for an 8 minute main, so twice that is probably a good guess. I don't know about you, but I use an LRP Q2 speedo, since it's so small and light, but it doesn't have a lipo cutoff. To keep on the safe side, I use an Orion 3800. A lower capacity will be lighter -- the 3800 is 50 grams lighter than my 5000. The lipos that look like a stick pack fit better than the bricks. My Orion is a brick and I install it with the bullet plugs towards the rear of the car. I had to cut 1/4" diameter notches in the top plate for the plugs to clear, but the wire runs to the speedo are short. That's about all I know on the subject.

i got a peak 4000 pack in mine, and like jeff said, i think the most I used out of it was around 1000-1200 mah - but that was for 6 minutes...i think i might have use closer to 2000 for a 8 minute main

with a silver can and a tekin b1 speedo

Default F 104 pro High Speed Twitchyness

Hello,
I must admit I am quite desperate and confused about my F104 pro at the moment.
At my local outdoor track ( fairly low grip) my car will handle ok with either foams or option rubbers. However, I experience incredible high speed instability on the straights. And I find no cure.
I am currently running the car with following settings:
Camber 1°
Toe In 0.5°
Ride Height front 4 mm
Ride height rear 5mm
Springs hard black front
soft T-bar

I would be very thankfull for quick suggestions since I am competeing at a Tamiya Euro Cup event this weekend in Southern Germany.
Thanks!

Default F104 pro High Speed Twitchyness

Hello,
I am quite confused about my F104 Pro I was sure to have a solid understanding of.
While running at my local outdoor track today ( low grip conditions) my car handled fine... EXCEPT on the straights. No matter what I tried, the car was so twitchy, I wouldn't even dare to go full speed.
I tried foams, rubber, mix but no cure.
my basic set up data are:

Camber 1°
Toe-in 0,5°
hard springs front
Ride Height Front 4mm
Ride Height Rear 5mm
Soft T-Bar

The car isn't tweaked and I am running out of ideas. I would be happy for quick answers since I am competing in the German Tamiya Euro Cup Race in Southern Germany this weekend. Any improvement to my basic setup is highly welcomed.
Thanks !

Try smaller dia tires, 60mm or less even
Front ride height 1mm higher than rear
and 3.5mm offset upright, if you can find them.

Yes front & rear B's
