Just got home from racing, ran the 104 exclusively.
Rubber tires are absolute junk on carpet, went back to foam.
Car still needs work, but it was better than its ever been so far.

I ran the New Ride S1s on the rug today, they work fairly well, good balance.
Not as quick as A Rear B Fr foams though.

I've had my eye on this chassis too. Please let us know how it goes and how it compares? I've been a little scared off by the price though, especially when compared with the 104Pro etc.

I'm going to glue the stock Tamiya rubber tires for F104.
is it better to use the insert or not?
FYI, i will run the car on a hot track, medium grip.

you better put the tire insert for sure --- otherwise you might get blister on your rubber tire --- especially in the middle of the day where track temperature exceed 40-42 deg CELCIUS.

I do use tire insert (soft) on the rear tire and medium on front tire with 0.5 deg toe in to reduce the steering a little bit .......

Yeah, I was trying to get a handle on the Tamiya rubbers to get ready for the Trackside TCS race, so I was more referring to the Tamiya rubbers being junk. I hope that the Type A's are better

Tell me about it, the B's pick up every bit of rubber, lint, and whatever else might be in the carpet.
I tried sanding them down on my truer to get rid of the smooth "skin" from the mold, but I may have made it worse.
Dont know what the A's will bring, hopefully a softer but less sticky rubber

B's actually work on a black groove, but don't expect that at Trackside

Drag_on, for TCS only Tamiya insert allowed. there is only 1 insert choice and it feels too hard.
(however, they wouldn't know what insert we use.. right? )

If you r talking TCS in the States, insert is open, and you dont have to run one if you dont want to

no, it is TCS Indonesia.. but yes I think you are correct.
I misread the rules. there is no restriction on the insert choice.
