Default 104pro Paint up...

Thanks to the forum, I picked up my F104 after being out of the hobby for many years...

The kit went together nicely, added the motor mount. I was torn over waiting for the Tamiya Chrome paint and getting the look of the Box car, or going for something a little different... I went for something a little different...

I swapped that piece of bearing for the 1-piece thrust bearing.

After that, the orientation is: 1-piece thrust bearing + > + < + spacer + nut.

Hope it helps!

Default Formula 1 Decals

Does anyone know where current or 2008 Formula 1 team decals can be purchased for these cars. Hate to see everyone with the same thing on the track.

Default PS-48

The Chrome paint should be out in spray form very soon, think it is PS-48. Just going to be too many F104's in chrome, IMO.

Why not just get the Alclad Chrome paint? That stuff is awesome when sprayed right.

I hope this helps.
I am thinking if we use the F103 steering knuckles on the F104 to fit the F103 front wheels. Would that work?

That main difference i see is that F104 use bigger size bearings than the F103 for the front.

The F103 wheel is too small and will hits the suspension.
I used the F104 front suspension on my F103RM and I had to use the F104 wheels or you could use the F103L wheels.
