Hello guys, just finished local carpet championship/session... so question is, what tires/setup for asphalt ?

I used supersoft/soft rear tires and soft front tires on my local track, it's small one and we had 21.5 motors, but on local championship, we were on big track, with 10.5 motors and I changed to soft/medium rear and medium front. Always tires from xceed.

EDIT: I was using F103-type tires

I also preferred (as someone recommended) tight setup for my cars, I added some "pillars" (do not know if it's the right word ) between bottom and top deck and used all screws = car was very tight, which was perfect!

so, what i should use for asphalt? which type of tires do you recommend? I will run 13.5/17.5 motor on local track and there will be championship with 10.5 motors, so maybe soft/medium/hard?

and also, what i should change on car itself? maybe remove some screws on pillars to not to be so tight...? I am still user of 104 Pro, so I do not have exotek/x1 modification, I also have 200mm front axle...

OT: I was looking for some shorty li-po, and this one looks nice http://www.exotekracing.com/intellec...0-shorty-pack/ but I found it only on exotek racing website, do you know about some web shop near the central europe?

Your from Check.?? squirrel?
If so try LMI or e-bay.
I bought them from E-bay.
It also depends on how much shorties you want.
Perhaps i can hook you up with some for a nice price.

regards Roy

You can buy it from MIBO locally in CZ, but little pricey :-( http://www.mibosport.com/mibosport/e...mpetition-Race

I bought one from eBay for a good price.

Then, you are using Xceed F103 foam tyres?, 200 mm rear wide and F103 type front axle in your F104?

yep, just like you wrote

to the topic about alloy motor holder... I prefer 103-one for single reason, it allow you to use tires with lower diameter.... but you can't used it with standart 104 t-bar!

EDIT: about the t-bar thing... just know I am not sure , I know that standart f104 back-bottom plate have some kind of lock and not sure if you can use 103 holder ...

Body itself isnt as important as wings. Try and get the largest smooth wings you can find. Also be careful as some f103 front wings have parts mounted in a way that gives lift!

We spotted a celebrity driver at the Speedtec/Tamiya Grand Club race over the weekend- multi world champion Joel "Magic" Johnson driving an Exotek F1R. Though retired from serious on road racing for some time he still managed to get TQ among 40 F1 drivers- and this was his first time running F1! I watched his races and I have to tell you the guy can still wheel!
