Is the yellow stripe painted or decal?
Looks like you've used white vinyl on the wings, a little crinkly?

What wheels do they fit for the f104? Hope they are no meant to be glued to the foam rims in the kit.

I was wondering the same thing.

On the Pit-shimizu website there does appear to be different wheels to the kit ones. Its only on the Japanese website not the english version

Started my build today.

Gone well so far....

Up to the stage where I need to fill the damper with oil and build it. So thought I'd call it a night (10:30pm here) and finish tomorrow.

I don't quite get the "friction" plate that the shock mounts to.
It's like a plastic/carbonfibre/grease sandwich.... So why is it needed?

Did a translation of this:

http://www.rceasy.com/ch2/2009/08/27...-f104-chassis/

And it seems to imply that you use the standard kit rims.

The plate dampens side to side roll, as well as the front to back motion of the pod. You can use various greases to affect the dampening rate, as well as the spring tension. I find 1/8 diff oils from ~10K to 30K work well.
