Tamiya F104 Pro!

Yes it has to do with the height of the COG and the roll centers...but weight and where that weight is placed also play a large part of that. Think of the battery like the age old physics experiment of 2 bars of equal mass but different lengths...Hold each in the center and try to spin them, the shorter one is the easiest to spin. Now think of the battery like these bars, A battery crosswise on the chassis is going to be harder to get to roll, but once it rolls it is harder to stop, while a battery in-line will be easier to roll but also easier to stop.
in that case... I'm ordering one now... especially at the prices we've been seeing

F104 Pro hard facts
Hello everyone,
The amount of excitement on the new F104 Pro is cool to see. I wanted to post some hard facts about the new car. Ask around for those who may not know who I am in case you're wondering "what the heck is this guy talking about.
1. The car is headed to the U.S. as we speak. It's on a vessel to Tamiya USA and the ETA is mid June and should hit hobby shops in Late June to early July.
2. The kit comes with all hex screws
3. The new body is a work of art. The side pods are fastened with screws and double sided tape. If you want to go old school the body side pods don't have to be used if you think you need more radio room. The kit looks 100 times better with the rounded side pods!
4. The rear pod movement is not hindered by the rear of the body whatsover.
5. You will have to find a really small brushless speed control if you you want to go the brushless route. A GTB has no chance of fitting. Maybe a LRP SPX...maybe. Need to get one to see for sure...
6. Rounded hard cased Lipo's fit the best. It's going to take some creative mods to the radio trays to make a flat hard case fit.
7. You get a blank set up sheet in the box and you'll be able to download a pdf version soon on Tamiyausa soon.
detailed pics coming....

So I wonder what GT class is going to Japan GT-1,GT-2 or GT-3, ie, 13.5 class, 17.5 class or silver can class?
Inquiring minds want to know!
P.S. By the way Fred brought an F104 to the Tamiya track this past Saturday! All I can say is "SWEET"!

Charles changed the date once he realized there was this conflict with TCS. We really want to see a great turnout for this F1 only event ! Should be a blast .....

FMW...can you confirm 1 thing for us...on TamiyaUSA, Tamiya Japan or any other source, since day 1, said the F104 pro kit (58431, the only kit for 104) came with upper and lower carbon fiber chassis/top plate. Looking at your sample kit...it looks like a black fiber board material like the F103RM...what is true?
And on the option list...there are another carbon fiber upper and lower chasssis/upper deck...are they different carbon fiber material? Why 2 different type of carbon fiber..?
Thanks.....
