Thanks !
So can I use a turnigy 4.2 Nanotech 2s2p shorty ? or, for some reason, I won't be able to fit the connectors ?
From some photos, I saw that the standard F104 (not pro) has a big upper deck and maybe would hide the lipo holes connectors ?
I mean this:

You need the short top deck or modify this one and it is a perfect fit.

Talking Spectrum receivers

Hey all, ok looking at setting up F104PRO and building a modified both requiring receivers, am running a Spectrum DX3S transmitter 11Ms.

F1 running/ 20kgish?? servo no label just informed but seems good/
ESC currently HobbyKing X Car 45a which is shite (just cannot get brake function to work) laced up to Silver can 21.5 but will upgrade to brushless so really am after an ESC/ receiver set up here, as mentioned staying with Spectrum receiver to keep things equal ! find it very frustrating that no recommended kg rating is available to suit desired set ups ! eg' receiver=ESC=servo=CAR of choice so these are myF1 requirements here wise ones !!

Modified Corally 4.5 Turn motor/ Turnigy TGY-5521 21KG Servo/ ESC Turnigy TrackStar Turbo 120A Brushless / Matching Servo !!!??
(Car revived X Ray T1)

Am running all Spectrum gear with off road, SR3300t receivers great products but up there in price and as ya all know building up a fleet trying to keep pricing down !! ish.

So 2 receivers (Spectrum) Modified Car (Grunty ?/ but good price range) F1 not so maybe, though I do notice quite a bit of sledging when pushed so maybe grunt also !?

Wise advise much appreciated !!
Cheers Kurt

Default setup help

I'm looking for help setting up my f104 pro for carpet. my f1 has the exotek adjustable upper arms, 21.5t motor is running on carpet with rubber. I'm not sure on how much caster and camber to be running. for tires I'm running pit shimizu r3-s/f3-s. I don't have much steering on power, and tones off power.

any help would be great

Default Trf 101 Carbon front suspension on F104?

Hy There!

Dose anyone know if the 42286 TRF 101 conversion also fit the F104?

I think it should because the lower Suspension is the same... at least on the normal TRF 101.
Dont know about the holes from the servomount.

Here is the link from the conversion.

Are you running a full top deck or split deck with side dampener? Also what front springs, t-plate are you running.

JD Roost, I got the new TRF101 front suspension from Banzai Hobbies in FOUR DAYS to the east coast of the US. Yes, it is the narrow front end. Also, it has CF lower arms (unlike the kit TRF101) and a different front bulkhead.

Thanks NutDriver. I just placed the same order from Banzai yesterday. Hope I get it in 4 days too!

BTW JD. Thanks for letting me pass to claim 3rd.... actually almost got 2nd on the last lap.

The video is on Horshmam's thread and when you let me pass you yelled "Go ahead Mark!" it looked like you unleashed a crazed race horse. lol.
