Need some advice.
I'm wanting to convert my F104pro chassis so I can run shorty LiPos. I don't want to buy an Exotek chassis conversion btw..
I still run the original stock 2 piece graphite chassis. What I'm trying to do is eliminate the plastic side swivel mounts and center my electronics with a shorty on the chassis.

Is this what I need?

hey

I have a F104pro and used the X1 conversion kit , this will eliminate the use of the friction plate and then you get the side damper

I use my F104at ETS and we have to use the shorty lipo and a 21.5 brushless set , works brilliantly and i can drive for 20 mins between charging

That option will work but you can spend a little more and buy the P/N# Tamiya 54331 which is the X1 conversion as mentioned in previous post. I have the F104X1 and a shorty pack installed. It works great.

Is the side damper on the V2 the same pass through design as on the F1R? I dont like the one on the F1R so I'm looking to replace it with something different. If not the V2 damper, anyone suggest something else?
