After getting some 0571/0572 Shimizu tires (very difficult to find, rcmart don´t have them in stock), I can tell you these are the best I have used by now but after less than 10 minutes with the tire warmers (45-50 celsius degrees ) and using Team Powers additive on them the result was this:

A lot of wrinkles on the tire surface. Is it normal?

Here, yesterday afternoon was very hot, like a summer day (ambient 28-30 C degrees)

A question. Do you use tire warmers at Uf1series? Same additive used for touring cars? I only run on asphalt tracks. Thanks.

i was using tamiya rubber tires. They worked for about 3min then they got really slick, too much build up from the carpet.

Tamiya tires? CMON MAN!
I know you been reading the threads.
How and why do you have Tamiya tires?
You shootin for a TCS asphalt race?

You do know what to get don't you?
When you score the right meats you'll be stylin and dialin. Til then, well, you get 3 minutes of barely average performance, carpet or ashpalt.

I haven't seen this on my Pits?

Never heard of that tire dope either, could be why it's happening?
I don't use warmers either and don't know if others heating them up get the wrinkles.
Curious now.

I have gotten wrinkles as well but not so quickly. Think it could be linked to overheating them. Either way they still perform fine with the wrinkles.

Yest, they work very very well even with wrinkles. Maybe is overheating but 45-50 C is the mininum option with a Muchmore digital touring car tire warmer and no more than 10 minutes. I think is the tire additive Team Powers (Migthy Gripper V2). It only happened with the rears (R1-H), the front tyres have no wrinckles at all.

Weather in Spain here at this season is hot, practically as summer and maybe similar to California´s weather. Mediterraean climate, orange trees and wineyards.

I've used a new 0571/0572 Shimizu tires combo for 4 races on carpet now and hadn't any wrinkles. I just use CS-High Grip on my tires without heating them. The rears get 45°C/113°F warm.

I get the wrinkles on new rear pit tires too. This is on carpet using paragon and no tire warmers. After about 10 runs they get fully scrubbed in and the wrinkles go away.

I get wrinkles if i dont brake the tires in very slowly, I use Warmers and Paragon. I had a set of R1-S get really weird on me, but they cleaned up after a few packs. The Wrinkles like like "Cold Tear" to me if you guys know what that is.

I understand that if these wrinkles are "cold tear" effect, the problem was the surface was hot but not the core of the tyre, Does it mean I should have left the warmers more time?

I don´t understand what you mean with not braking very slowy, I just brake the car as always (no ESC modifications at all, drag brake.. nothing) and with other Pit tyres haven´t got that "wrinkle effect"

I see some people got these wrinkles without using warmers even.
