yeah, i've seen those - however, they aren't legal for TCS racing in the USA

i'll probably consider getting most of Mike's stuff for my non-tcs F104

Hey all!

Anyone have a tCS legal setup for outdoor asphalt? I have to use Rubber tires.

We had a race on our new track last weekend and it was embarrassing. The car would do donuts randomly and had ZERO on power steering. The whole class was embarrassing as no one had grip.

I did everything I am familiar with to get it to stick better, however nothing proved effective.

I am using an F104x.

Our track is brand new, clean, smooth and had sugar water added.

which tamiya tires are you using? I remember seeing guys having luck with the optional rears and the kit fronts...

I'm kinda curious about this myself - I'm going to make a TCS appearance for the first time in a couple of years, and really want to run the F104...but don't want it to suck like you mentioned

I had Tamiya Hard up front and Tamiya Soft in the back. I did not modify the inserts.

Hey All,

I was hoping you guys could help me. I have an F104 Pro, but I would like to buy a Ferrari 643 body set and from rcmart I found this:
http://www.rcmart.com/tamiya-1933810...?cPath=438_883

I believe this can be fitted to the F104? Does the body set come with decals, I know some cars dont, but would like to have them. It includes the rearwing, but no mounting, is there a specific part for the mounting of the rear wing, rcmart dont seem to have and I am doubtful an F103 one would fit....
Additionally, I have bought the F103 front suspension kit, is it a direct bolt on? I see quite a few people have done this mod, but I cannot see if there is any other requirements..longer turnbuckles maybe?

Thanks

Tamiya rubber on asphalt likes a LOT of weight. At Tamiya in California, that weight is put in the rear. Think in ounces.... not grams.

No decals with this body and front wing sold separately on rcmart. I believe that BPshadow has body with decals in one set...or TQ has decals for Ferrari 643.
F103 front suspension fits but 42mm rods for steering links needed.

Yes I do have those with everything in one package and for one price, and coming very soon will be the decals that are missing from the Tamiya sheet
Probably available sometime this weekend.
No wing mounts or helmets with these.
Cannot get the wingmounts at all, and I am waiting on the helmets to come in, which will bump the price a bit

What is included is shown in the photograph on the page, just the body and centre wing mouldings.

That body doesn't include the rear wing side plates either, but there should be enough spare lexan on the body to make them from. To mount the wing you want the TRG F103 wing stay set

You will also need the F103 kingpins if you are planning on running F103 size wheels, part number 40508, or part number 53119 which comes with a spring set.

looks nice...but i think i will stick with my X1......speaking of which used it for the first time last week.....was impressed with it...i did notice my car had slight understeer....so i changed the front camber to 1.5 and installed the medium rear spring which made it better and have the hard front springs installed.....im thinking of taking out the heavyweight pivot post to see what that does??? i had heaps of rear traction

Okay for those that have more experience with link cars, What differences in chassis feel/handling will a chassis like the V2 with the links close together have vs the Exotek with the links spaced farther apart?
