are u at a disadvantage when your racing your x1 on regular tamiya a foams and rims against a f104pro with f104W tires on the rear and trued down fronts and / or a f104pro with f103 rears and trued fronts.....sorry if its confusing lol. Thanks .

Default Exo104 setups

Hey guys.

Does anyone have any setup info for the Exo104 chassis for low-mid traction outdoors asphalt, medium sized semi technical track. At the moment im struggling with the rear sledging into corners. Am running it pretty much box standard.

Actually it's not an F104 Pro.
It started as the F60 Ferrari so the chassis is FRP and not carbon fiber.

racer x dude, is your shorty pack welded into your 22 or what?
Rip that sucker out, unscrew the top deck on your F104 and drop it in, that way you won't F the sticker up on it.
Not sure if the shorty is the key to gettin dialed or not but since the car works like this right now, I have no reason to go and try the full size pack again.

theatriksdude, glad you like my ride, thanks for the nice words.
If you ask me I would think that an F104W with the dialed in F103 preassembled/premount foams would be the best since they dominate on the F103 and the F103 will destroy the F104, foams vs foams.

Now when it comes to rubber, I'd be willing to bet that the current 104 Pit Shimizu combo would make the F104 better than the F103 on rubber with the tires available for it.
If anyone has insite on how the rubber tires are doing on the F103, please let us know but in my experience with the Rides, Superions and Pits, they suck in comparison.

I can only comment on the basis of observing the car, but I race against an F103 with shimzu rubber all round and it's a great car to drive when I've had the opportunity.

Admittedly this guy is top or close too the top in all classes at our track, but his F103 goes very well.

We do race at night with cooler track temps. We recently ran a meet through the day where track temps were around 45 degress C, and after one lap the tires suffered badly, so maybe not a good option during the day.

Whats the difference between the offset uprights vs the inline. Other than the obvious. What's the performance difference?

Edit: nevermind I found my answer.

the high traction T bar how thick is it im keen on getting one to give a shot.

since i mainly run on asphalt would it best off just to keep using the tamiya soft you think

im very happy with the f104 i have been tetsing and tuning every day after reading alot of the blogs that rob has been doing, i thought it was good before but now its friggen insane the car seems extremely hooked up.

running out of tyres fast with 4 hours of driving a day

sell it and go back to friction plate lol. we run on unprepd car park wth traction low. our club member with exotec struggle against 103 and 104pro. they must suit higher traction surface we think
