I was looking up some part#'s on the Tamiya America site, and it popped up as discontinued
It arrived in August and gone before December.
I dont think there will be a new platform, the 104 is only a couple of years old, typical Tamiya product cycle is 3-4 years
104WGP is the wide car. What would be really cool is if they brought back the 103 rubber tires and let the W cars run in TCS

Yip, if it is limited it's available for a limted period too 
They will probably bring out an updated PRO that will include the new X1 parts....but with the ali parts in Blue instead of that limited colour.
