Are there any good setups posted anywhere?

We are about to start our F1 series here and I have no idea where to start with this thing. We will be running 21.5/silvercan, 2s, no boost, rubber tires on ozite carpet. I'm not even sure where to start with gearing.

For right now everything will have to be ordered online so I'd like to get it coming soon so I have what I need by the first race.

Thanks!

It would be good to know what type of F1 cars are allowed.
This setup wise.
I see you are going to use rubber tires.
Again this is also specific to what cars you are allowed to run.
Silvercan rollout startpoint can be 50 on the big tracks but you need to temp the motor to be sure.
So what cars would be allowed?
F103? F104? HPI F1? F109? the new 3Racing car?
Corally like cars?
I know, questions questions question

regards Roy

Hmm.....
This will only allow the F104 or a coverted F103/F109 with F104 rear rims and front suspension.
Only F104 type tires will be allowed then.
Rollout of 47 would be my starting point as the tires of the F104 are bigger then the one of the F103 that i drive or a F104W.

I tested out the rolling damper, counter weight and heavy pivot post today. Well, i can report that it SURE HAS HEAPS OF REAR TRACTION !!!!

It pushes like a mofo. Not that i ever had any rear tractoin issues, but i think the heavy pivot post is not required and i'll be removing it for the next race. Struggled all day with no on power steering. Tried a few things to get more steering out of it but wasn't too effective.

I like the rolling damper though it seems precise and the car doesnt want to kick out after a hairpin turn.

Thanks for the feedback and findings with the new parts.

So you would agree that they are worth the $'s?

Strange that you say the heavy pivot post gave you no on power steering....well I suppose if you have too much rear traction you take away steering

Will be waiting to hear your feedback with the heavy pivot post removed.
