Its not really F104 specific, but here's my F1's.

Tamiya F104 Pro!-img_0746.jpg

From left to right, Carpet F104, F201, Tarmac F104, F104 with F103 front and rear end, F104 with Exotek chassis kit.

I've got one more F201 with carbon everything sitting in a box too

Thanks! That sounds good. Maybe the body from Pro kit needs less trimming? I'm not sure which one is wider at the back. I will check that at home as I have that older McLaren too.
Mike is there any problem with sending Exotek stuff to Europe, Czech republic? Some shops do not send overseas ect.

What is a good on the cheaper side though 21.5 brushless system? I have a novak xrs esc with silver can and it holds its own but I think ill need something more efficent in the long run. Also what is a good pack to run on the f104 pro?

one more question has anyone tried mounting the electronics in the rear of the chassis just behind the battery on the lower deck? I may try this to get the esc and reciever off the side. thanks guys

You cannot go wrong with the speed passion Cirtix system. $100 for motor and ESC is hard to beat.

yeah I know silvercan is fast for me know with a 2 wheel drive and with little weight... Yikes soo i think i might throw a couple more aluminum pieces on it to help with breaking of plastic like motor mount r/l and also do the front and back wing mount from 3 racing. it will help heat and im able to mount a fan so it should help with heat. i also might create a mount for a fan directly in front of the motor near the pivot post to force air over the back.

Just cut out the air intake in the body over the driver's head. Then the air will go through the body over the motor.

I bought a Hacker 21.5 from stormer for $39.99. Really smooth. But if you need esc/motor combo you can't beat the speed Passion.

agreed - the cirtix is a great system for the $$!!

you can remove the fan (verified with solara) if running 21.5 or 25.5 motors - which makes the speedo fix better just make sure you pick up the programming box, so you can do some more fine-tuning (like brakes)

....and if you already have a an F104pro, the additional and new parts that come with the X1 will be available towards the end of the year to the beginning of next year, so you can make it an X1
