Does anyone have any shots of a F104 in full McLaren style?

Was having issues with the car being way too stiff on asphalt, so I removed the top screws to the radio tray posts, put a soft t-bar and ran the kit front and soft rear rubber ryres and it's transformed the car!!!
Just put a 13T Hobbywing brushless setup in it and had first run today
This thing MOVES!!!

Are there any wings that actually work? These std wings don't seem to do anything!!!
They get very skitish when the speeds pick up

After the wing mods on mine I have to say they do work quite well. Maybe too well as the car is now very agressive on turn in. Sometimes enough to just spin out at highspeed with no brake added.

Sweet! Thanks for the link and awesome work by RobK. Does that I mean I'm off the hook and can keep the go-slow info to myself?

It looks like I will sand and polish the upper and lower deck. The FRP parts have been cut with a fair amount of precision and the edges are nice and tidy. However, I tend to prefer edges that have been rounded off a little as it feels better when you hold the car or if you're working on it. Also, I'll prep, glue, sand and polish the carbon battery holder. It's totally unnecessary but I like the tactile feel of nice edges on my plate cars.

The lower deck looks identical. The only major components that appear to be required to convert an existing F104 into an X1 is the motor pod's front bulkhead, an upper deck, and the side damper assembly.
