(2) 6x10mm bearings for the rear-end of the chassis

(1) 8x12mm bearing for the inside of the diff

(1) 5x11mm for outside of diff

(4) 5x10 bearings for the front wheels

Thanks Kaybo!

that only works for the F104 with the aluminum/Pro diff parts...if you are running the plastic F103-styled diff pieces, you need and extra 8x12 bearing to replace the plastic bushing

how low gearing can you get on the F104?

said differently.. whats the gear ranges possible for a F104?

its needed for a high Kv motor.

If you use the 0.4 module you can for certain go as low as 20/104.
These are the spurs and pinion i have here.
What are you planning??
A dragster??

Nono no dragster.. it isn`t for me.

A friend is perhaps going to push the F104 a bit. going down in motor size and weight and down in turns to offset it..
a possible option is the team powers mini 540. it weights in a 140grams. supposedly..

Another option is smaller 2cell pack or 1cell and even lower turns.

Carpet and foam mostly..

do you need more gearing on 1cell?

another option i told him is to go with a Novak three80 motor. 100gramish and 200watts is as far as that type goes. But it would need for a custom motor mount.

hes currently running a 17.5 turn. (speedpassion i believe(heavy pig)) and is mostly running on a small track good for 1/12scale and m-chassie.

I just had an Email from Tamiya US. Saying it will be at least 3 months until the release of the X1 ..... Although!! The email also said the car would come WITh rubber tires and wheels, no body and "uncertain" about the motor!

A little different to the caption in the X1 promo vid saying none of these items would come in the X1 "Limited Edition" kit?!

Also ..... I see Tower has the X1 listed at $274 ..............
If thats with no body.... no wings, No wheels and tires and no motor. It sounds like its going to be a little pricey to get this cool cat on the road
