so has any one tried running 48p spur/pinion on the f104... i saw the post earlier about converting to 64p

I am running 64p on asphalt, no issues

I'm working on piecing everything together for my f104. What gearing should I pick up to start with? I'll be running 64p on a indoor carpet track. Motor will be the Tamiya silver can.

The F103's will not fit on the F104, trust me, I purchased 3 different sets, Cross and Ride from Hong Kong and it was too late to cancel the order when I found out. The rears will fit, but the fronts will not due to the size of the Kingpin.

As far as the adaptor, all you have to do is sand it down even with whatever spur gear you get so that the diff plates can touch the diff balls.
