I thought I was haulin ass and I was, for me, but when I finally stopped for my 1st of my 2 mandatory pit stops you caught and passed me.

I guess you were the one haulin ass and took an easy win!

I was happy to hold on for 2nd, far behind you tho.
Thanks Cuda.
It was a lot of fun racing with you. Yeah, we had different pit strategy and it made the race even more fun. I just can't wait for the next one and race with you in the same heat again!! I'm still not sure if i will be able to make all the rest of UF1 races as i will have to go some races in EU later this year.

You did great run Cuda!!
See you next time.

+1 as long as they don't pull a "Corally"...

I understand the capacity limitations of NiCad but was also curious about the lack of weight with a LiPo and if it would affect the basic handling by not loading up the tyres enough etc. Thanks

Bring F1 back? F1 has been going strong for over 3 years now in So. Cal! F1 Nation is a big following in the North East. It just takes a couple of guys to get together and decide on a rules package and have some fun.

Kyosho had an F1 back in the day. At the first Uf1 event in September of 2009, Ryan Lutz pulled his off the shelf and won a couple of heats with it.

The distribution of weight from front to rear does not change much, slight understeer when the car got heavier. I ran F104 Pro (black edition) with NiCd (rc2400s), NiMH(gp3300s) and LiPO (Tenergy 5000).

RC on West Coast has more audience than other regions. Here in Midwest, not much road racing, no F1 class. Popular class is the VTA. RC mags need to get more exposures on F1, and local tracks should support the idea of new/different class.

Depends where you're at. Chicago has a small F1 following, and a decent on road crowd. Not like 5 or 6 years ago, but it's there.

I find the car handles different with lighter lipo's
It tends to oversteer with the lighter lipo's then when you have a bigger AKA heavier lipo in the car.
The rear is more planted with the bigger lipo's and you can get faster on the power.

Default black edition

Just got my black edition in the mail thursday, time to start building!!
We have 3 or 4 guys with F1's at our track, hope to get a spike in interest this fall when onroad picks up again. Will put up my pics when the car is together.
